About this template
Twelve slides already written for a quarter
The cover label reads REPORTS and the agenda is quarterly from the start: quarter summary, revenue mix, profitability, business unit results, guidance versus actual, next-quarter outlook. The closing slide ends with “set the next quarter’s targets”. So for quarterly use you only need to add the period (e.g. Q2 2026) and the reporting date to the cover. There is no presenter line on the cover, so if the reporting owner must be named, put the department in the subtitle. Turning it into an annual deck is the harder direction: all six agenda lines and the closing line would need rewriting.
Slide map
- Slide 1 cover, slide 2 agenda with an “01 / 06” counter beside each item.
- Slides 3-8, three divider-plus-body pairs: quarter summary, revenue mix, profitability.
- Slide 9 comparison, slide 10 four metric cards.
- Slide 11 four trend bars, slide 12 closing.
The agenda lists six items but only three sections have body slides. Business unit results, guidance versus actual and next-quarter outlook have none, so decide first whether to cut the agenda to three or duplicate two pairs to reach six. If you cut, fix the “/ 06” denominator on every counter.
What goes on the three body slides
Each body slide is a title, a one-line lead and three numbered bullets, already filled with quarterly figures. When you swap in your own numbers, keep each slide’s job:
- Quarter summary: revenue KRW 112bn, up 8% on the prior quarter; operating margin 12.4%; 34 new contracts. One line of scale, one of profitability, one of commercial activity.
- Revenue mix: direct KRW 69.2bn, partner KRW 42.8bn, overseas share 23%. The first two add to 112bn and tie back to the summary, so check that your channel split still sums to total revenue.
- Profitability: gross margin 38.2%, SG&A ratio 25.8%, a one-off cost of KRW 2.1bn. 38.2 minus 25.8 gives the 12.4% operating margin in the summary; keep that subtraction intact and you will field fewer questions.
Making the cards and bars readable
The four cards read quarterly revenue KRW 112bn, operating margin 12.4%, guidance attainment 103%, 34 new contracts. Three come straight from the body slides; only guidance attainment has no supporting figure anywhere, so state the original guidance somewhere if you keep that card. Above all, use one comparison basis across all four cards – mixing quarter-on-quarter with year-on-year inside one slide forces you to re-explain every number. The trend bars read 94, 101, 104, 112 by quarter, captioned “unit: index”; change that label if you enter real amounts, and relabel the bars as the last four quarters (e.g. Q3 25 to Q2 26) so the flow crosses the year boundary. Note that 104 to 112 is about 7.7%, essentially the 8% quoted in the body, so keep the two derived from the same source. The bars are shapes and do not resize themselves.
Where the questions get long
- Quoting growth without saying what it is compared to.
- Leaving slide 9 on the sample figures (KRW 12.0bn planned against 13.1bn actual, cost ratio 71% against 68%). Plan numbers have to be copied from the approved plan, or the slide loses the room.
- Passing over the KRW 2.1bn one-off with no footnote; whether the 12.4% margin includes it changes the reading.
- Covering the last three agenda items verbally with no slide – with a guidance attainment card on screen, someone will ask for the basis.
- Not printing the quarter on the cover, so a file reused every quarter becomes unidentifiable.
