Privacy Policy

ShareDocs — Free Document Templates (the “Site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Site collects and how it is used.

1. Information we collect

The Site can be used without creating an account, and we do not collect directly identifying information such as your name or phone number. The following is recorded automatically as part of operating the service:

  • Web server access logs — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, request time
  • Date and time of access, pages viewed, the domain of the referring page
  • Temporary identifiers used to count template downloads and views

1-1. Usage statistics we collect ourselves

To learn which templates are actually useful, the Site records the following itself. None of it is passed to advertisers or outside analytics companies.

  • What is recorded — template page views, file downloads, download-button clicks, link copies, search terms, the display language, a rough device class (mobile/tablet/desktop), and the domain of the site you arrived from
  • Your IP address is not stored. To recognise a returning visitor we keep only a 32-character hash of your IP and browser details mixed with a site-specific secret. The IP cannot be recovered from it.
  • These statistics use no cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser.
  • Records are deleted automatically after 180 days.

We may run A/B tests, showing two versions of a wording or layout to compare them. Which version you saw is recorded alongside the events above. Tests affect presentation only — the files and features you get are identical either way.

2. How we use it

  • Providing and operating the service reliably
  • Statistics, such as identifying popular templates
  • Blocking abusive access and automated programs

3. Cookies

The Site’s own usage statistics do not use cookies. Language is carried in the address (for example /en/, /vi/) rather than a cookie, so while you browse without logging in the Site stores nothing in your browser.

Third-party services described in section 4 may set their own cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings.

4. Advertising and third parties

The Site may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings.
  • To opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly, see aboutads.info.

The Site also uses Cloudflare’s content delivery network for security and performance, which may process connection information.

5. Retention

Access logs are retained only as long as needed for operational and security purposes, then deleted.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. Please contact us using the details below.
