About this template
Which proposals this fits
A partnership is not a sale; both sides commit resources and agree how to split the result. These 12 slides follow that order, so they suit channel alliances, co-branded products, or data integrations. For a simple supply quote the deck is oversized.
How the 12 slides are allocated
Cover and agenda, then three divider-plus-body pairs, followed by comparison, metrics, trend, and closing. The three body titles are why we are partnering, how the two companies split the work, and how the revenue is shared. Money sits third, which is what the other side wants confirmed first, so keep that order. Of the six agenda lines, mutual strengths, joint marketing and contract terms have no body slide: fold strengths into the first body slide, let the “4 joint seminars” card stand in for joint marketing, and duplicate a pair before the closing slide for contract terms.
What goes in the three body slides
- Why we are partnering – the defaults read non-overlapping customer bases, work neither side can do alone, and the history of the conversation. Rewrite them as the opportunity the other side is missing: of 120,000 monthly app visitors, under 3% reach checkout and there is no product to place at the drop-off point.
- Splitting the work – product and technical support on your side, sales network and local coverage on theirs, plus how joint decisions get made. Keep both lists the same length; a one-sided list turns the proposal into an ad.
- Revenue share – a 60/40 split on revenue, settlement on the 15th of the following month, and how pre-funded costs are reconciled. Say whether the split is on revenue or profit and whether the 15th is a business day, and the working session finishes in one pass.
The deal terms are already numbers
The four tiles ship as a 6:4 split, a 36-month term, 4 joint seminars, and 2.1x sales reach. Unlike most templates, the cards already carry deal terms, so replace the values rather than swapping in generic savings percentages. The 6:4 must match the body slide exactly; the 36-month term has no supporting body slide yet, so put renewal and termination clauses on the contract-terms slide you add; and 2.1x sales reach is the first figure to be challenged if there is no basis for it. The trend bars rise from 18 to 88 on an index of 100, so if you enter forecast joint revenue instead, fix the unit caption too.
Recurring problems
- Removing the revenue split from the deck and deferring it. That number is why they took the meeting.
- Leaving the comparison slide as before and after; it should contrast going alone with going together.
- Detailing only your own obligations, which stalls their internal approval.
- Shipping the deck with the sample-values footnote still on the metrics slide.
