About this template
What it suits
A one-page weekly report for Monday morning. The label above the title reads “report”, the title is “weekly work report”, and the grey line underneath is site marketing copy — delete it first. The body is three numbered sections (1. this week in summary, 2. completed, 3. in progress), a key-figures table and an approval table.
Ten-minute order
- Fix the four header cells (date, author, department, document number); they ship as 2026-01-01 / Hong Gildong / planning team / DOC-2026-001. Date it the Friday of the week being reported, and number it like WR-2026-W07 so files sort.
- 1. Summary — keep the grey prompt, replace the three bullets. The samples read “82% of plan achieved”, “6 done, 4 in progress, 1 late”, “6 hours less overtime than last week”.
- 2. Completed — finished work only, each with evidence. Samples: quarter-end closed in 5 days, 15 contracts renewed, 2 audit findings closed.
- 3. In progress — what you are holding right now. If your team reports next week’s plan separately, rename this section or copy it to add a fourth; the numbers are typed text, not auto-numbering.
- Fill the four key figures. They ship as 82% / 6 / 1 / 38 hours over the labels “progress, completed, delayed, effort”.
- Keep the approval table only if your team signs reports; deleting it does not break the layout.
Numbers that must agree
82%, 6 and 1 also appear in the summary bullets, so edit both places together. The 38 hours of effort has no partner in the body — either add one or change the label and the number. The table puts figures on top and labels underneath; keep the labels fixed for a quarter so consecutive weeks can be compared. To show fewer than four figures, enter a dash rather than deleting a column, and the table keeps its width.
Examples
- Summary — “76% of plan; two items late because of an external schedule”.
- Completed — “3 quotations sent to A, 2 replies received (est. KRW 24m)”.
- In progress — “landing page 2 days late for lack of design resource — approval requested for outsourcing”.
Common mistakes
- Re-saving last week’s file so only the date and number are stale.
- Describing a blocker without stating the decision you need and by when.
- Changing the metric labels weekly, which makes comparison impossible.
- Pasting a paragraph over the bullet lines and losing the list formatting; click into the existing line and retype instead.
