About this template

Decide the speaking time first

A dark-background IR deck, colored for a dimmed demo-day stage or a large screen, running ten slides. Set the speaking time before writing content: an eight-minute pitch and a twenty-minute meeting use the same ten slides very differently. Eight minutes leaves about 48 seconds per slide, which means at most two sentences on each.

Time split for an eight-minute run

  • Cover, 10 seconds – company name and a one-line definition.
  • Agenda, 0 seconds – skip or hide it on stage; reading six lines (company, business structure, financials, shareholders, investment case, contact) wastes a short slot.
  • Divider plus Company overview, 90 seconds – founded 2021, 47 staff, Seoul HQ with a Busan logistics base, three operating divisions.
  • Divider plus Business structure, 90 seconds – platform 54%, own brand 31%, B2B supply 15%. The defaults add to 100%; keep it that way when you edit.
  • Comparison 45 seconds, metric tiles 120 seconds, trend bars 60 seconds, closing 30 seconds.

You stay longest on the metrics slide

Slide 8 defaults to 21.4bn KRW annual revenue, 47 employees, 31bn raised to date and 9 registered patents. Align all four to the same recent date and put it in the caption. The headcount also appears on slide 4, so editing one without the other leaves two slides disagreeing. Slide 9 climbs 58, 97, 145, 190 across 2022 to 2025 with no unit caption; if those are revenue, the final 190 contradicts the 21.4bn card, so reconcile them or caption what the bars measure. Shade the last bar differently if it is a forecast. The investment case and shareholder items have no body slides, so duplicate a divider-and-body pair if you need them.

To reuse the file for a twenty-minute meeting, append an appendix rather than expanding the body. Run the ten slides on stage, then pull out divisional margins, pricing changes or hiring plans as the metrics questions come. Keep your script in the speaker notes; extra text on a dark background closes the screen in fast.

Dark-theme cautions

  • Black-and-white printing and bright projectors flatten the background; keep a light-background copy for handouts.
  • Neon chart colors bloom on dark backgrounds and swallow the labels; use one hue with varied lightness.
  • Light UI screenshots hit the eye as white rectangles; crop the margins and darken the border.
  • Small footnotes and unit labels disappear on stage – 12pt is invisible from the back row.
