About this template

One year in ten slides

A year-end deck for an all-hands: cover, contents, two divider-and-body pairs, a two-column comparison, four metric cards, a trend chart, closing. Only two body slides exist, so this is not a walk through every department; it suits one line about the story of the year and one about next year’s direction. In a 15-minute slot the metrics and chart take about six minutes, so do not overload the bodies.

Five contents lines and the screens behind them

The contents page reads this year’s moments, the people with us, new year targets versus year-end results, key figures, trend analysis. The first two lines are carried by the divider-and-body pairs on slides 3-4 and 5-6, the third by the two-column slide 7, the fourth by the cards on slide 8, the fifth by the bars on slide 9, so no line is left without a screen. What is scarce is free space: only two body slides. If you have three or more blocks to talk through, duplicate the 5-6 pair, add a contents line and renumber the SECTION labels. The dividers ship tilted towards people; for a financial wrap-up rename them to something like annual summary and next year’s targets, and change the contents lines to match.

Filling it in

  1. Put the period on the cover, such as FY2025 Review, All Hands, and delete the sample subtitle about ten slides from this year’s moments to trend analysis.
  2. Match the divider and body titles, and edit the contents lines with them.
  3. Body lines carry 01/03 counters, so a fourth line means editing the counters too – it is easier to write to three. Slide 4 pairs a month with an event (first overseas customer onboarded in March, head office move completed in July, one million cumulative users in November); slide 6 counts people (52 new joiners, 17 five-year service awards, 9 employee clubs).
  4. Fill slide 7 with three matched rows of targets and results.

Example body lines

  • Example: revenue reached 48.2B KRW, up 27% from 37.9B, with 60% of the growth from new customers in the second half.
  • Example: 1,240 new contracts and a 91% renewal rate; customers of three years or more now exceed half of revenue.
  • Example: next year we concentrate resources on lifting overseas revenue from 12% to 30%.

Four numbers and the chart

There are exactly four cards – they ship as 365 days without an incident, 52 new colleagues, one million cumulative users and a 4.6 satisfaction score. Choosing the four numbers that represent the year is the whole task, so for a financial wrap-up swap them for scale, growth, profitability and people. The 52 also appears on slide 6 and the 4.6 on slide 7, so never change one alone. The chart holds four seasonal bars (spring 41, summer 58, autumn 79, winter 100); relabel them by year if you prefer, keep the last bar consistent with its card, and resize the shapes when values change.

Common mistakes

  • Removing every disappointing number; include one missed target and why.
  • Leaving slide 7 on the sample year – two launches planned, 15% overseas revenue and 4.3 satisfaction against three launches, 19% and 4.6 delivered. Swap in your own items but keep the rows paired.
  • Cramming next year’s goals into the closing slide; the last slide is for thanks and one sentence, so finish the goals on the second body slide.
