About this template
What fits in twelve slides
Three divider-and-body pairs map onto environment, social, and governance, one axis per body slide. This summarizes a published report for a board meeting or all-hands; disclosure work still needs the source document with metric definitions.
Filling it in
- Put the period and the boundary on the cover, for example FY2025, four domestic sites and two distribution centers. Without a boundary the numbers cannot be checked.
- The agenda on slide 2 has six items. The first three – 01 material issues, 02 net-zero roadmap, 03 circular resources – each own a divider-plus-body pair (3-4, 5-6, 7-8), while 04 pledges versus progress, 05 key metrics and 06 trend are single slides on 9, 10 and 11, with 12 closing. To regroup around environment, social and governance, rename only those first three sections and the matching agenda lines; the last three are summary screens and stay as they are.
- Keep the three divider titles (SECTION 01-03) identical to the three body titles, or the agenda, the dividers and the bodies end up using three different names.
- Each body line carries metric, change, and cause. The shipped samples – 1,240 survey responses and 9 material issues on slide 4, a 42% cut by 2030 and 6 rooftop solar sites on slide 6, 28% recycled input and 46% water reuse on slide 8 – show the format to copy: emissions fell 10.9%, from 12,400 to 11,050 tCO2e, mostly from lighting and HVAC replacement at plant 2.
Metrics and chart
The four cards ship as 9 material issues, a 42% reduction target for 2030, 312 suppliers signed up to the code of conduct and 46% water reuse – targets and coverage, with no actual performance figure. Swap one for emissions or injuries this period. Note that the 9, the 42% and the 46% each already appear in the body text on slides 4, 6 and 8, so edit them in both places. State denominators, since renewable share is renewable use over total electricity and that grows when sites expand. The bars plot a future reduction path (2025 at 100 down to 2040 at 12), not history, so caption it as a target path or relabel with past years and resize the shapes.
Common mistakes
- Quoting a reduction rate without a base year.
- Listing targets with no result against last year.
- Quietly dropping the lines you have missed on slide 9. A 40% pledge answered by 28%, a 100% supplier audit answered by 82%: leaving the shortfall visible with a plan beside it earns more trust than deleting it.
