About this template

Introducing a whole institution in fourteen slides

For community open houses, partner-hospital visits, or a new-clinic announcement: cover, agenda, four divider-plus-body pairs, a comparison slide, key figures, a trend chart and a closing slide. It is not sized for a single department or a single case – such a talk would fill all four body slides with one agenda item.

Seven agenda lines, each with a slide

Slide 2 carries seven lines: 01 hospital history / 02 departments / 03 medical staff / 04 facilities and equipment / 05 opening year versus today / 06 key figures / 07 trend analysis, and all seven have a slide behind them. The first four come as divider-plus-body pairs (3-4 history, 5-6 departments, 7-8 staff, 9-10 facilities); the last three are single slides 11, 12 and 13. The agenda wording is identical to the divider and body titles, so renaming a section means editing three places. If clinical volume or directions need their own line, duplicate the 9-10 pair, number the new divider 05 and add the agenda line – though directions fit just as well as three lines on the closing slide.

Filling the three body lines with hospital numbers

Each body slide holds a title, one subtitle and three items, and the shipped lines are already hospital language – only the values change. History pairs a year with an event: opened in 1998 with 32 beds, main building extension to 412 beds in 2012, regional emergency center designation in 2021. For departments, how many and where beats a full list: 18 departments running 24 hours, the cardio-cerebrovascular center on level 3, the health screening center in the annex. Physicians: 96 specialists, 412 nursing staff, 38 outpatients per specialist. Facilities: 12 operating rooms including 2 negative-pressure, 3 MRI scanners running 24 hours, 48 single rooms with a carer bed.

The four tiles and the yearly bars

Slide 12 shows 412 beds, 18 departments, 96 specialists and 27 years since opening, under an “internal tally” caption. Every one of those appears in the body as well, so each edit is two edits. The 27 years counts from 1998 to 2025 – remember it when you reuse the deck next year – and the caption should name the exact reporting period. Slide 13 is a rising series (118, 134, 157, 182 for 2022 to 2025), well suited to outpatient visits or surgical cases by year; if you enter a falling series, adjust the bar heights to match.

Contacts on the cover and the last slide

Put the institution name, main phone number and the month the data is current to in place of the cover subtitle and presenter line. The closing slide carries only a thank-you, so add the booking number, the website and a three-line summary of how to get there – that is where questions land after the session. If you plan to print, run one greyscale copy first: text on the dark slides can disappear.

What to watch for

  • Leaving the template description under the cover title; that line should define the hospital in one sentence.
  • Leaving the sample numbers on slide 11: the left column (1998) reads 4 departments and 32 beds, 22 clinical staff, 140 outpatients a day, and the right column (2026) reads 18 departments and 412 beds, 96 specialists with 412 nurses, 1,850 outpatients a day. Bed and staff counts are checked against your website within seconds.
  • Publishing physician photos and names without consent in externally distributed copies.
  • Quoting planned bed or equipment counts as current ones; visitors notice on the tour.
